Total with Case and Power supply comes out at $71.30 with tax B.C.

Is that a good price? Plan to use this for pi hole. I know the 3B is more than enough but it was cheaper choosing this option.

I was planning zero at first but I want direct connection for pi hole.

I'm using 2x Pi Zero W for PiHole, and it works wonderfully

Pi 4 just to run PiHole is a overkill

There's a few vendors on amazon that sell whole packages (Power Supply, Case, etc) for roughly the same that all of those things would cost on that site, but with free shipping.

Not a bad deal if you're buying just the Pi and picking up in person, otherwise it's not a great deal (not a bad one, though)

Where did you get your Pi Zero W? Everywhere I look is either OOS or stupid high shipping.

I get mine from UK sites like pimoroni and pihut. I haven't bought from the latter in a while. I usually buy a bunch of stuff when there's a deal going. Prob not saving much from the North American sellers. Nice that memory express had a deal a while back but it wasn't for a zero w

Available at BuyAPi only with the case bundle it seems + $12 shipping: https://www.buyapi.ca/product/raspberry ... se-bundle/

Canakit has the board alone but +95 cents more shipping compared to BuyAPi: https://www.canakit.com/raspberry-pi-zero-wireless.html

Encrypted DNS queries with DOH

I’m still happy running pihole with my model B

With cloudflared, all DNS lookups are encrypted during transfer. "Nobody listening on the wire can see the DNS queries you make when you are browsing the Internet."
Test in browser here: https://www.cloudflare.com/ssl/encrypted-sni/

Your ISP and potentially others can check and see how many DNS lookups you've requested for redflagdeals.com.

Pihole has its own docs on how to set it up (should take like 5mins)

Good to know - but why 2? Shouldn't one do the job?

One for primary DNS, the other for secondary - as assigned by DHCP

This way you can actually upgrade them one at a time without having to suffer outtages

Even as is there are instances in which certain devices falls onto the secondary DNS during normal operations, my primary handles 90% and the secondary 10%
