buying rogaine from the Us

a long shot if anybody has tried but worth a shot.

I see Kirkland rogaine on eBay for $70 cad (6 month supply ) but it's from the Us. rogaine here at Costco (name brand not kikrland ) is $160 (Costco online only).

clearly eBay is cheaper but I'm sure all get dinged with custom fees or perhaps it might be blocked since it's medicated ? has anybody tried ordering rogaine from the Us before and can share their experience?

Here’s an old RFD thread you might find useful

amazon-com-mens-rogaine-foam-three-mont ... 9-2064191/

Personally, not a fan of buying ANYTHING off of EBay
not just this product

There are prob other places you can buy Minoxidil from still at relatively cheap prices
Just GOOGLE : Minoxidil Canada

As to this product ...
Minoxidil is approved for sale here in Canada
So you should have no issue importing it
But yes ... you will end up paying to do that

1- Exchange Rate ... if you are paying in Cdn Funds
2- Possible transaction fee ... if you are paying using a Cdn CC
3- Shipping ?
4- Any applicable Duties
5- Taxes based on your Province of Residence (GST + PST ... or HST )
6- Brokerage Fees if you use a Courier

Can all add up to the cost

price includes shipping and is quoted as CAD ...taxes are awash since I'd pay them either way ..so really just concerned about duties and other fees ..

the difference between eBay and costco is $100 ..so really the question is will the fees be $100 or over

I checked Amazon Canada already and it's way more expensive than cosfco (3 month supply for $100 vs six month supply at Costco for $160)

and I did GOOGLE ...that's how I found the eBay one for $70 CAd

Are you willing to buy Walmart's version of it? I see that it is $37.77 online. I think this might be a 3 month supply.

I believe you'll have to constantly keep using it or else once you stop your hair will start falling out again. So if you are planning on buying it on eBay, you might have to
pay for fees every single time. It'll add up.

Pre-COVID, I used to travel annually to the U.S. and buy 12 months' supply. With the border closure, my current stocks are depleting.

Key difference... the U.S. version has 5% concentration whereas the Canadian version is only 2% concentration.

As far as I can see ...
Health Canada approved the 5% formula for sale here in 2014

https://www.canada.ca/en/health-canada/ ... xidil.html

And there are certainly Dot CA websites selling it online to Cdns

Sides ... if it wasn’t legal ... then CBSA / Health Canada wouldn’t allow anyone to import the 5% version

Yeah but it’s brand name not generic. I think that’s what the poster is saying
