These AirMiles BIG BONUS Events are more like a Treasure Hunt
Than a race to the finish line **
So often it’s a case of slow & steady (and informed) wins biggest vs those who don’t take the time to plan their strategy.
READING & FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS is truly the largest portion of the success in completing the Offers & Challenges and then seeing the BIG BONUS Miles you hoped for actually POST in a timely fashion.
So be sure & READ & FOLLOW the HOW TO USE instructions (click thru) on each Offer on the Shop The Block 2020 Website to see the fine print
* The click thrus are very important... as they often are the access to the STB Portals so the offer works the first time
(Versus just going direct to a Partners Website)
Offers come in 3 Formats:
* AUTOMATIC / Ready to Go ... no further action required
* OPT IN ... Need to fill out a form so your AMs # is recorded
* COUPON REQUIRED
* When Offers say Coupons Required
Or fellow RFDers recommend them...
It’s best to use Printed Coupons as they work better at many Partners than Digital versions (many places in past BIG BONUS Events just aren’t set up to take e-coupons off one’s phone ... they actually want hard copy printed paper coupons ... so bear that in mind).
** NOTE
In past AMs BIG BONUS Events it was found that some Partner Offers did not POST correctly in the first few days
So if you can... it might be wise to wait out a few days before attacking your list of Offers full on
The long run bonus to that strategy ...
Fewer PARTNER COUNTS missing, or Missing Miles to chase down as the weeks wear on, and after the event is over
Remember ... AirMiles usually POSTS miles in different cycles.
So Base Miles from an offer can POST together or separately from Bonus Miles ... as AMs PARTNERS have different reporting requirements for any Bonus Miles.
And many AMs PARTNERS choose to BATCH POST their Bonus Miles.
As well, AirMiles has up to 120 Days AFTER an event to POST the BIG BONUS MILES (300 - 800 - 1200).
As Shop The Block 2020 runs thru to December 28, 2020 + 120 Days = 4 Months = April 28, 2021
HOWEVER ... sometimes things all fall into place swimmingly for those who have followed the instructions to a tee.
The reward ... getting to see all their Base Miles + Bonus Miles POSTED within 30 DAYS / end of January
And then the BIG BONUS MILES ... not long after.
The last few BIG BONUS Events, for many that also meant folks getting their BIG BONUS MILES around the 7 WEEK / 50 DAY MARK
If that holds true for Shop The Block 2020 ... then BIG BONUS BAMs could be seen by around Valentines Day
At any rate ... the Shop The Block 2020 BIG BONUS BAMs will be POSTED so they are DATED in 2021, and count towards 2021 STATUS (in case anyone cares about that aspect ).
