ca.reburb.io weekend special - DELL E6420 i7 Quad 4GB 250HDD $323, E6530 i5 $355

Deal Link:
Just got a dell E6420 i7 Quad Core for $369 from refurb.io, seems like a decent deal to me.

http://ca.refurb.io/collections/weekend ... 6885355329

The weekend special also has a few other interesting sales going on - the Dell E6530 i5 for $385 seems good for those looking for a 15.6 screen.

No idea how long this will last, but stocks come and go. Good luck!

Edit: Don't forget to use promo code FREESHIP (save shipping fee) or FREE10 (save $10) - but not both codes. FREESHIP would probably save you a bit more. Also just noticed promo code THANKS6530 for just the E6530 to save $25
Clasher01 wrote: Hey i just got an email from them today, seems like they went lower on the E6530 and E6420i7, if anyone bought those yesterday they might wanna contact them to get the lower price.

Dell E6530 i5 - $355
Dell E6420 i7 - $323

I think that's the only difference.
I was able to verify the i7 has dropped to $323, but the E6530 only shows $380 instead. I think the $355 assumes a $25 reduction after that THANKS6530 code.

It's a bit cold compared to the T430 deal last month. Sure- it's faster, but you'll need to upgrade the ram from 4 to 8 and buy a 250gb SSD, and that costs quite a bit.
Best Deals: Star Alliance Silver without even flying= FREE
Fido CAN/USA Unlimited, CID/VM/SMS 2gb $33/month
3 Logitech X-230 Speakers (150% PM at Staples) = $13 each (I bought 3!)[/B]

Anyone ever buy from their US site instead? I find their USD pricing for this laptop is $259USD which is a lot cheaper when converted to CDN. I can get it shipped to the border and just pick it up.

I'd wait for a laptop deal with an ssd from refurbio. I got the E6420 with an i7 quad core,8 gb ram and 250 ssd with a nvs quadro 4200m gpu, 1600x900 screen and back-lit keyboard for $450 all in with shipping (around 395 effort tax). Best laptop deal I've ever caught.

I know refubio has gotten some good reviews, but it seems every time I look at their site the product description is wrong. I couldn't find the "i7 -2720QM" CPU mentioned in the description. Is there a i7 -2720QM?

Could anyone please confirm the warranty period for the refurbished products at refurbio?
It says all products 1 year warranty, even for a refurbished product warranty is 1 year?
Thanks

Not bad but the 6430u deal last week was better imo. Big difference between the 2 chasis, I know because I have both machines, the 6430u is an ultrabook with the feel, stability, durability and battery life whereas the 6420 has the older body style. The 6430u was a very underrated deal imo.

4.6 lbs for Dell Latitude E6420 - 14"

5.4 lbs for Dell Latitude E6530 - 15.6"

not light weights but on par for course for these middle aged notebooks.

I believe you get a 1 year warranty through the re-seller refurbio not through Dell.

just for those who is considering,
i bought this last week wednesday and received it on monday
mine was also A grade condition but what they did was put a sticker that covers the entire lid except the Dell logo part in the middle
i am guessing that lid had scratches so they just put a sticker (skin i guess?) on it to cover
anyway sticker looks okay, keeps the laptop look clean

apart from that, rest of the laptop looks new

i had a 128ssd lying around so i swapped it out so it's fast
personally, i think 4gb is plenty but depends what you use for i guess

oh also, this laptop is very easy to add/remove components. i took out the heatsink and reapplied thermal compound and temp dropped 5-8ish

also, this laptop is hackintosh compatible so you can put yosemite on it (there is a guide specifically for e6420)

these would be good, but theyre so dam heavy. i have a 5 year old lenovo with a 2nd gen i7, tons of ram, ssd and performs like a beast. but it weighs like 7 lbs. all the lighter laptops with similar or even subpar performance of that 5 year old laptop is $800+.. its ridiculous.

Cheaper how? 259 / .74 = 350 difference of $19
Good insults are hard to find. Why waste them on someone you don't like.
