Yes, that is always an option. However, the default tip min does socially shame people for not paying at least 18%.

I'd personally prefer restaurants and all service providers to include tip/service cost into the price of the item.

The interesting thing is that those that do (for group dinners, etc) use 15%, so they're actually doing most people a favour who would otherwise have gone for the minimum 18%

Not saying the t&t GC offer was good... Personally I just use my BNS Momentum VI CC for 4% CB and Simplii Visa for 4% restaurants
