Hi there, i am planning to start a YouTube channel.

I am looking for tips on lighting as well as a decent camera such as the Cannon T5i.

All tips are accepted, thank you.

it would help if you described what you are filming.

Consumer level video camcorder, voice recorder and some chinese led panels are all you need.

You can always opt for a cheaper camera, T3I and invest in a lens with the extra money. It is a great camera to start off with and I also picked up a 50mm.

here is a split on spending money for high value budget production!

35%- Camera and lenses
35%- Audio (Recorder, Lav or shotgun)
10%- lighting(simple daylight bulbs to household fixtures can do wonders)
20%- misc accessories (good tripod, batteries, filters, etc.)

Look for video setup videos done by your favourite YouTuber, many of them have done 'behind the scenes' videos of how they make their video.
