CAN Corp to US Corp business?

Hi,
I am an IT contractor and one agent in the states gave me an offer working as a contractor in NY, but however all I am having is an federally registered Canadian corp (12345 Canada Inc.) Should I register a US LLC as a subsidiary? Should I get a TN at the border?

My work will be carried out on client side, billed based on hours (programmer), 40 hours per week and for one full year.

Thanks

Will you physically be working in NY? If so you just can't work in the USA without a work visa.

Should I apply for a TN visa, the sponsor will be the other party (US client) or my own Incorporate? I have read that contractor cannot be sponsored by the other party (US client) and it has to be sponsored by my own incorporate but for a small Inc in Canada, there is no way I can sponsor myself.

Thanks

No LLC's, cause you get hooped via dual-taxation.

Cross-border stuff is hard. Meaning $$$. Make sure you're open to paying $5k+ every year for compliance costs before you start to consider gigs like these.

What is the update on this? Are you getting a visa?
