Can I get some help with deciding between these two laptop deals on right now?

I’m looking for a new laptop. Main purpose is for daytrading which I use a couple monitors to hook up to. Some of the programs I use recommend a dedicated GPU. If I did play any games, it would probably be pretty light. I’m also just wanting to be a little bit future proof. At least a couple years before it gets too outdated.

I’m down to the Dell XPS 15 vs lenovo legion 5i Gen 7 laptops. Specs are as follows:

I have another laptop I’m running already which I’ll have on the side as well. But I’m planning on purchasing a product called the tropire tri-screen that is just an attachment to create a 3 screen system from the laptop. I think just for ease and speed the screens working off one machine would work better for me. Thanks for the suggestion, I had considered that laptop thinking it might be enough but don’t want to chance it.

Lenovo has a better GPU & bigger SSD.
I'm surprised you need a dedicated GPU for stocks. If you dont need it to be portable I would just build a good quality desktop computer for less $$.

Gotcha. At this ~2K price range it would be tempting to get an Alienware instead.

Sorry just saw this reply, totally missed it before. I’m daytrading rather than just investing. Some of the programs have suggested a dedicated GPU, not that they say absolutely needed. I do have a PC already and just needed some portability a couple days of the week.

Im doing the same as you. day trading on laptop. Get neither. get a legion 7 slim, or the legion 5pro as it has better battery.

Awesome. Thanks. Probably going with the legion 5pro. Decent sale going on. In all honesty, this is probably overkill since I’m mostly trading price action, but rather be more prepared than less at this point.

Thanks again
