Can I use my DSL internet at a different address?

Maybe this is a dumb question but....

I'm going to a cottage for a week, they have no internet.

Can I just unplug my Bell modem (DSL), and plug it in at the cottage and expect it to work? Or does it have to be tied to my home phone line / home phone number?

No because the telephone line has not been provisioned with DSL service.

Yeah. Sadly it wouldn’t work as mentioned above. There’s also the issue that service likely wouldn’t work even if they could provision the line out there as DSL requires you to be a certain distance from a provider’s Central Office (CO). More than 5km away and it wouldn’t be able to connect at all.
