Can LED lights be installed on a popcorn ceiling?

My living room has the popcorn ceiling. I am thinking of getting those slim LED pot lights that fit snug to the ceiling surface. I am not sure if they would fit flat on the ceiling given the uneven nature of the ceiling?

Any ideas how I can get this done?

Thanks

Sure, you just shave away a small area around the hole so it sits flush.

This. Just knock off the high points. I had 11 installed on my popcorn and they look fine.

Alternatively, you can also get the small pot LED lights as they have a smaller footprint so any unevenness is harder to see. I installed those into a popcorn ceiling and didn't have to shave anything but it will depend on the height of each corn and how the light is made.

Along with the above suggestions it also helps if the pot light has a foam gasket around the trim.
