Can someone recommend a drone?

I'm not a techy person at all- been looking at Drones since 8am this morning and I have a headache.

I wanted to get one for my husband for Christmas as part of his presents. Nothing too expensive just something to play around with. We were at a friend's house in the summer time and my husband was playing around with theirs and expressed interested. I have the name written done- it's pretty in-expensive around $150.

Looking to spend around the same amount $200 max. Just want something he can play around with (on board camera. good quality. decent flying time).

Help!

There are lots of cheap drones, and you pretty much get what you pay for at that end of the market. The main thing that pushes up the price of the cheap ones is first-person video that shows you the view from the drone camera as you fly it; I think my Hubsan whatever-it-is was about $50 for the version without FPV, and $200 with it. With hindsight, a drone with better stabilization technology would have been more useful, as I'm usually too busy trying to not crash to be watching the video :) .

You're too late for Christmas. Most choices in terms of best bang for buck will come from China or Hong Kong. Expect a 3-4 weeks delivery time, or more, because of the holiday rush.

Onestly I cant stand those stupid things. First it was Radio Controlled (R/C) cars, then it was radio controlled boats, then helicopters, now drones, and the worst part about it? its not a bunch of kids playing with these toys, its fully grown adults men and women. Anyways I think theyre an invasion of privacy and should go away. I will shoot them down if I see another one over my house again
Thanks

You should stop by HobbyHobby store and speak to one of the sales there.

I assume for someone new to hobby, they'll recommend one of those micro size multi rotor.

You'll need to consider getting two or three more extra batteries.

I highly recommend you visit the store and speak as they'll show you all additional things that is required and etc...

Oh these are hobby grade, so when parts get damaged you'll be able to purchase spare parts to repair.
