Can someone steal your identity with just name, address and phone number?

In the wrong hands, would it be easy for someone to steal your ID with just these infos?

Need a little more than that.
Name, address & phone number have all been published together in the phone book for people with landlines for years.

I wouldn't say that it would be very easy for someone to steal your identity with just name, address and phone number but I believe that it is doable via social engineering since if the crook/criminal gets the correct person on the other end who doesn't follow security policies in place, the criminal can get more and more information eventually having enough information to steal your identity or get identification (credit cards, etc.) under your name.

However, with only those 3 items, it would be difficult to steal your identification without social engineering and getting additional information at the weakest link.

Thats concerning. Kinda annoyed that some store sent my receipt which had all those infos to a wrong email. At least there’s no payment info. Just hoping it didnt get into wrong hands.

It's possible to steal your identity using just your name.

Then don’t sign up for coupons, notifications, etc that involves your email. Usually the stores copy/scrape off their database, they are not copy manually. Wrong email address? Most likely you enter it wrong. If the stores send receipts via emails, they xxxx out most cc numbers.

Most of the time I write fake infos for accounts, coupons and newsletters.

This situation however was at a physical store where I requested to receive an older's order receipt for warranty purpose. Sales clerk wrote down the wrong email. Anyway, wasn't the point of this thread so I won't go in too much details.
