Anyone know what is up with Canada Computers? Their website seems to be gone. It is just redirecting to Insta now

It's working fine for me right now at https://www.canadacomputers.com/ ! Temporary outage or CMS platform upgrade where the Instagram was the downtime redirect maybe?

Make sure nothing's funky with your DNS as well or browser redirects.

same problem here , it has been like this for a week.
redirected to instagram/cc

I did a search , found some people said it's because your ip was banned by cc probably because your ip visited cc too many times.

and it make sense if you are using your company's vpn so there could be many people share the same ip and many of them visit cc so cc banned the vpn server's ip.

No idea what she was talking about.I told the rep I don't visit your website 5000 times a day ( and BTW since when there is a limit on website visits ??) .
I used to go there once a week on Friday to check new specials ...whatever...F... EM ! if they don't want my business Amazon does...They will learn fast if enough people get pissed at them !

If I hit CC through my VPN I get their Instagram page. If I turn off my VPN I get their normal page.

Same sh!t here. Started almost a month ago. First response from them on April 13,
You have our sincere apologies for the interruption, we have taken additional measures to enhance our security and can certainly assist you with accessing our website.

In order to regain access, could you provide your Public IP Address so we can unblock it from our end? To locate your IP Address, you can simply Google search ‘What’s my IP’.

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and appreciate your patience while we resolve this issue.

Thank you for shopping with Canada Computers.
Then the 15th,
Hi,

Thank you for contacting Canada Computers and Electronics, we appreciate your patience with us while we resolve this issue.

and then again last night at close to midnight,
In order to unblock your IP address, our web and security team are requesting further information regarding your web activity. Could you confirm which products you've been viewing and at what times in the day prior to the block?
We appreciate your understanding that these measures are in place to deter bots and individuals that profit off our true customers. As a proudly Canadian business, we genuinely care for our customers and want to ensure that all of our customers have a fair chance to purchase high in-demand products.
At this time, we will retain the IP address block until our web security team is provided with the requested evidence. We apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused, please note that we truly do appreciate your business, however we hope you understand that we must do our due diligence to ensure we are enabling access to the right users.

Stupid thing in my case is I went from a vdsl connection to a cable connection and the redirects started a day or two later. Oh just for shits and giggles I can access the site no problem from my phone as long as it isn't connected to my home internet connection.

All I can say is that their "security department" are clueless morons.

Not really but they are the only place in Canada selling Be Quiet cases I can find. Just going to order it on my phone and then cancel my account.

Same behaviour for me, If I try to connect with NordVPN active, I get redirected to Instagram. If I disable the VPN, the page loads normally. Although on a different computer running Windscribe VPN, it fails to connect at all and I get a Windscribe error page even if the VPN is disabled. I love a security "solution" that requires contacting two different vendors for two different problems just to try to buy a product I could have bought from Amazon by now.

I'm trying to support local businesses and avoid Amazon wherever possible, besides, simply buying it from Amazon, especially now, would do nothing to let CC and Windscribe know there is a problem which could potentially cost them a customer. I've opened a ticket with Windscribe and will be contacting CC to let them know of the problem. Let's see what they come back with.

That's okay if Amazon carries it. This is what I am looking to get,

https://www.bequiet.com/en/case/1854

And CC is the only place in Canada that carries it. Can find it at a few US sites but it cost more with exchange (and before shipping) than what CC is charging.

As I said previously, will place the order on my phone and cancel my account with them.
