[Canada Computers] AMD 6700 XT video cards available

Not a "hot deal" per se, but a few models are available for who wants to pay 3rd party scalper prices:

GIGABYTE AORUS Radeon RX 6700 ELITE 12G XT $1049
https://www.canadacomputers.com/product ... _id=191228

MSI Radeon RX 6700 XT MECH 2X 12G OC $1149
https://www.canadacomputers.com/product ... _id=190222

ASUS ROG Strix Radeon RX 6700 XT OC Edition $1099
https://www.canadacomputers.com/product ... _id=191086

Looks like availability is increasing, and prices will go down with that.
I am waiting for a 6800 XT at MSRP...

And a 6800, but only a couple available

ridiculous price compared to AMD's own store. 6800 price is literally double

this is RFD's hot deals section

These prices are street robbery, considering the reference model with the same performance is $579 from AMD Direct at (https://www.amd.com/en/direct-buy/ca). They release a batch every Thursday, usually.

In fact, for $50 more than the MECH, you can get a 6900 XT reference model, which is almost a 3090.

Correct, but at least there's availability.
I would not buy one myself at this point, but until today they were in stock for a few minutes. Now they are available for hours. A good sign.

Hard to justify a card without DLSS these days. Upvoted for availability though.

Right, but not the 6700s. I checked CC yesterday and the only one that was in stock was the 6800 I linked last.

That is true, but i'm unsure if they can compete with NVIDIA's team anymore. I'll be interested to see how it works, but i'm not sure if they can achieve what NVIDIA has done.

This is like saying we should post links to Marketplace ads because “they’re” available lol. You said it yourself, they are absurdly overpriced :P

The best deal is buying a new system. If you really need to upgrade now.

Prices will return to normal slowly, Now that intel is entering the market - more competition = better prices for us.

All my sales are final!
If my for sale ads are still up. Than items are still for sale! :)

Correct on prices, but you cannot get any cards from AMD unless you have scripts. I tried for weeks every Thursday and even if I see the Add to Cart button, I never managed to get any cards.
But if you can, I will give you $100 more for a reference 6800 XT :)

Well, it seems to me that even at these prices someone is buying them. Here's their chance to get one for less than Kijiji. I am not seeing anywhere a lower price.
Or at least this can tell some people "don't buy now, wait for better prices, it won't take that long". Before I was hearing people saying it will be next year until the situation improves. It seems it started to improve now.

With inflation on the rise and supply lines drying up, RFD is due for some evolution. I think availability for a lot items will soon seem like a hot deal sadly.

I feel like the messenger is being killed here. It is legitimately helpful for people who need a GPU today to know where they can actually buy one.

The 'scalping' is happening across the supply chain. It's not like these retailers are buying these cards @ $500. The following article gives some insight into the factors affecting prices and why we're seeing bundles:

Really? I've used it and it's fantastic...imagine where it'll be in another year or two too.

It absolutely is. +30-40% FPS increase for what is essentially an indecipherable visual difference relative to not activating it. This is especially true for 1440p and 4k gaming.
