When you add it to your cart there is a place right below it for "price beat request." I did it with a 5800X3D the other day, I assure you it works, they get back to you if they can't do the price beat.

I don't doubt that they do a price beat online. I doubt that they are doing the 30% price beat online. The price beat is typically only 10%.

I never heard of the 30% price beat before. I've done the 10% many times online and it works fine.

Yeah, I went to Langley BC and it was only 10%. Came out to 151 after tax. I'll sell my 2200g so it won't be too bad.Dreamrider wrote: ↑ No, afaik, 30% is for Ontario in-store only.

What cpu did you have before the 5600g?Iluvdeals2018 wrote: ↑ I have updated my bios to the latest 5.40 beta. Never had any problems with updating the bios. You should be fine.
Just wondering on how to flash the bios to the latest. Do I flash it with the latest using the 2200g and then when it turns off, install the 5600g?

If you are running at 4k you would technically be gpu bottlenecked in most games outsides of esport ones. So this cpu would be good enough. For the gpu I would suggest at a minimum a 3080 tier equivalent or better. Although if you're going to spend that amount of money to get the 3080 you might as well go get the 5600 from the other thread that's selling on amazon.

Thinking whether I should upgrade from a Ryzen 5 2600 to this. I already have a RX 6650XT. Thoughts?

I believe we are seeing the 1st stage of the price cuts now as AMD probably knew they were going to have issues a month or two ago so they put these promotions in place now hoping to get some extra money before doing a bigger sale due to the 13XX0 series CPUs being introduced by Intel now.bigboy1221 wrote: ↑ Their stock took a big hit recently and AMD reported lower sales, think there's deeper price cuts coming soon.

That's actually happening in the used market now with GTX 1070s and the like coming way down in price - they are still inflated but not crazy like they were just a few months ago. I suspect that much of the used stuff is a direct result of an inventory wave coming through the system.
