I also got an email for pick up. So what's a good mobo for this CPU? I haven't had an AMD chip since Athlon back in the day.

Does this CPU require a fan as well? if So, what kind?

I haven’t seen any hot mobo deals recently, but I would pair this with a B550 mobo. Depending on the features and port selection you are looking for, the MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI may be good - currently retailing for $150 on Amazon, Newegg, CC, etc. I use the general use tier list of motherboards spreadsheet as a starting point: https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comme ... neral_use/

This will need an aftermarket cooler since it does not include one in the box. The 5700X does not pull much power, so any single tower cooler with 4 heat pipes will work, such as the Deepcool Gammaxx 400 ($25 on Amazon for the red LED version), Deepcool AK400, Vetroo V5, etc.

Got an extra B550m mobo, corsair 110R case, and seasonic PSU sitting here. Don't need another computer but just wanna build anyway lol.

What I really want are some deals on ITX AM4 mobos.

I have R5 3600, and at this price for me it was worth it to get few more years out of my system. I paid $250 for r5 3600 2+ years ago, so this cpu at $209 is a steal.

I have an old gen one Ryzen 1700 I use at work as a budget workstation, and with a BIOS update on the motherboard, I can breathe new life into the platform for another 5 years. Talk about insane longevity.

Just picked mine up at the Merivale location in Ottawa. Site still states 10+ in stock and ready to ship. At $139.99 plus tax, you can't go wrong specially since it's intended for a browsing/HTPC build.

Any suggestion for a M-ATX board with hdmi 2.1 and wifi?
