This is for 10th and 11th gen processors, aka a two/three year old motherboard.

You can get a good LGA 1700 motherboard for the 12th and 13th gen for less than the above price. Sure it won't be a Z motherboard, but for the majority of people it dosn't matter. So why pay more to invest in older tech?!

What good ATX LGA 1700 motherboards would you recommend instead? Looking for a 13th gen motherboard, but not sure what good motherboard to get.

The b660 motherboards are a good choice and priced well, but you have to read reviews or reddit posts to find which one is right for you -that depends on what processor you are planning to get.

For the past couple of years at least, the intel itx mother boards have been brutal. Terrible cooler compatibility, some had weird issues that needed fixing in recalls, huge itx tax.

I am excited for the new M1EVO itx case coming from Ncase “soon”. The reason is the testing pictures from its maker show the case fitting a Matx board very well with good gpu compatibility. Once you go Matx it’s easier to find good mobos.

That is Matx, not itx though.

Yeah they're pretty bad overall. To your point, they have these massive I/O shields that block dual tower coolers or have weak VRMs that can't supply enough power and rarely go on sale.

Can confirm, very pleased with B660M-P. Combined it with i5-12400F and no regrets. Best bang for buck you can get.
