Yeah if you run raid config, sure, but why spend 2x the money on PCIe 4.0 for "future proofing" when this iteration of AM4 boards is the end game.

That's a good deal but I still don't get why b550 is so expensive. They don't make much sense to me. If i want all modern features I buy x570 which are not much more expensive, if I don't care then I just buy cheaper b450.
I think overall system wise new AMD gen 3 is way more expensive the gen 2 was (mobo+cpu+cooler(?)). It's in the Intels league now. I'm so happy I upgraded to 3000 series earlier this year.
