[Canada Computers] ASUS TUF - RTX2060 -Ryzen7 4800h - 16GB DDR4 $1499

ASUS TUF Gaming Notebook 15.6''
144hz 1080p
Ryzen 7 4800H
RTX 2060
16GB DDR4 3200mhz
1TB SSD

$1499 ($100 off). This is a pretty decent deal imo for a 2020 8-core 16 thread Ryzen 7, RTX 2060, 16GB ram and 1TB SSD, And not to mention it's in stock online and many other stores.

This is only $100 more than the 1660ti, 512gb SSD version of this at BestBuy... Battery is also bigger in this model (90w vs 48w). I bought that model (BB one...) and today is the last day I can return it...............

(and pretty much any other review on it is 4 or 5 out of 5 stars). I understand it's a cheaper build, but if you can't shack out 2 grand, this is a very viable option.

Everyones got an opinion on everything. Pretty good reviews overall.

Someone on that youtube video commented that they dremeled their way into the blocked air vents and got significantly better temps.
I would be worried about this product if it is indeed intentionally gimped :(

Nevertheless, good deal have an up vote

the adapter is to power the rtx 2060 any laptop youll buy that can power this right now will have such adapter sadly
some laptop do have the option to power with a smaller adapter to bring with you and it wouldnt allow for gaming but for some work maybe it does come with this machine.

Not necessarily true. I have an older Alienware laptop with a 6820HK and GTX980M and my power adapter is 240w. Hardware efficiency + newer tech (like led panels) have been steadily improving over the past few years, these numbers should be going down ...

Also before anyone says I'm comparing a laptop gpu with a full gpu, the TDP is actually lower -GTX980M (120w) vs GTX2060 (80/90W).... So where's all this power going?

Agreed. The cooling design is very poor on this laptop. Someone in the youtube comments even drilled 3 holes with dremel and the temperatures dropped around 6 degrees for the cpu and 10 degrees for the gpu.

Dammit, I ordered this last week from them and still haven't received it. I hope they do price protection!
