[Canada Computers] Biwin SSD 500GB 3D $69.99

3D TLC SSD 500GB for 69.99

Just noticed an error in the listing. Drive specs say 240GB. Called Canada Computers and they confirmed it is 500GB.

I'm a bit suspicious that it's this cheap, even the regular price is only $90. Warranty is only a year and it's uncertain how that would work out, since Biwin appears to be based in Shenzhen, China. Safe bet would be to get MX500 500GB on sale or a similar drive, has already been under $100 a few times and perhaps will be on sale again on Black Friday / Boxing Day.

I can't really find any reviews except a few on Amazon.com and Newegg.com (for a different size).

If someone gets it would be interesting to see a review and benchmarks, the price is tempting.

Thanks for posting this deal either way, interesting to see a high capacity SSD at this price.

That is the only thing I would ever use it for considering not much can be lost. Wouldn't trust it further than I could throw it for actual data.

Here we go with the noname brands.

Every new product starts with big brands, then those Chinese copy-cats with the duplicates.

Can't complain about some Chinese phones though - their quality is better than Samsung in some cases.
I got Fido and Public Mobile. If anyone has any questions 😃

Especially true if you put a $ value against some of them.
