Thread Summary
Post #303
Azureskies wrote: I was curious about what the markup was like, so I dumped the data into a spreadsheet.
  • GPU prices are based on USD MSRP converted into CAD at the rate on June 16 on Google: 1 USD = 1.21775 CAD.
  • All other prices are the retail or sale price on their website.
  • Unbolded SKUs were visible on their site on June 16, bolded SKUs were added sometime between June 16-20.
  • Bundle prices and sale prices on individual items may have changed since I added them on June 16 and 20.
  • I only took the last non-zero digits of the bundle SKU, the full format is VC000000xx.

they dont guarantee price because if you order the card, and retail price goes up, you'll have to pay more. they weren't able to fulfil backorders that were from 2020 and retail price for each cards already went up 200-300.

but if you order the bundle at 10am, then go pick up the same day, it is the same price. for the short time being, the retail price seems to be stable.

Looking at sold listings they still go for like 800-1000, that's crazy.

For other people trying to see if there are any near you, find the stores near you at https://www.canadacomputers.com/location.php and then Ctrl-F/Search the name in the original post. I don't know if I got all the bundles but it should be a decent picture of the availability

If you follow stock alert channels, most the time CC stock comes up, it is in ON stores.

Here are my questions.

- You can only order 1 bundle per account / mobile / phone for online order pickup.
- Are these available at retail locations by just visiting or only for only order and pick up?

A redditor said this place were using preorders to make these systems, instead of - you know- giving the buyer their card when it comes in. With all these systems available, one should assume every preorder for any of those cards at all those locations have been filled?? Doubtful.

What I see that's extra greasy here is if you went in and purchased the $999 card. They continued to put those cards in these builds as they arrived to sell asap at markup. Now that it's over half a year later, and you still don't have a card, they went up to $1299. You are on the hook for that extra $300 if you still want it.

Ordered and it said at the bottom bundles are not in store and will ship from warehouse. Here is to hoping the warehouse actually has stock.

Sure if the retail price has gone up, they'd be leaving money on the table, but has the wholesale price from their suppliers gone up that much?

Also, are they selling cards before they have stock? That seems shifty, and if they have the stock, then their cost is already determined, so they "should" easily be able to guarantee price.
