Really? I've only seen it go down to sub 50 once, that was last year during BF. And that was the proteus spectrum, not the Hero version. Hero version is a slightly upgraded version of the G502 Proteus spectrum with a new sensor.

Damn, decisions!! I bought a Tomahawk max this week but I will exchange for the carbon pro wifi I guess. I was thinking of upgrading to the Gigabyte elite X570 but I don’t need the pci4. This is from memory express.

Here's the 32GB Trident Z from Newegg: https://www.newegg.ca/g-skill-32gb-288- ... 6820232748
Here's the 16GB Trident Z: https://www.newegg.ca/g-skill-16gb-288- ... 6820232728

Both of these offer very, very similar performance. Pricing is competitive already but even more so if you can get it price matched at a local store.

If you want 3600 CL16 with RGB (faster than above), this is the best I found: https://www.newegg.ca/g-skill-16gb-288- ... 6820232859

Also, there's very little reason for anyone to choose an X470 board in the world of B450 and discounted X570 boards. There's plenty of deals on high-end B450 boards like the MSI Gaming Pro Carbon AC for $139 (+ rebate!) at MX which can overclock and has every feature under the sun. If you absolutely need some future-proofing along with SLI and/or PCI-E 4.0, the Aorus X570 Elite for $200 is a good buy.
Ahh, so the Trident Z 32GB 3200mhz CL 16 is a fair buy? As for the Motherboard, I originally had Asus rog strix B450-F, would that be decent as well? I just assumed the X470 would allow for overclocking, unless I’m completely off there

I don't want to alarm you lol but the 3600X is now $229 (!) at Amazon...

You get a better CPU+GPU,faster RAM and more efficient PSU. The rest is arguably the same. I also included a $135 copy of Windows 10 in the config but a legitimate copy can be had for less, thus lowering the total a bit more. You might also get some better prices during BF, or at least I hope so because I'm doing a similar build but I don't need a 2070 Super so I'll go with Rx590.

I'm hoping to get it to sub-800.
Or you can not buy Windows at full retail price and get a better motherboard and a 3600x, plus a 500gb m.2 drive.

I feel like Amazon crushed a lot of the deals for CC this year. The door crashers are still good (Other than the 2700X) such as the PSUs and a couple things, but I ended up dropping $850 on Amazon this morning on components for a build and still came out ahead of my CC estimate based on their flyer.

Yeah Amazon seem to be playing very competitively. I put together a Ryzen system in the last few days for much less than I had budgeted for. Their CPU prices are fluctuating like crazy though. The 2700X was $189 with 18 hours left on the deal but then within a few hours went up to $214, then $209. I imagine it will drop down to $189 again before too long. I sort of feel sorry for Canadian Computers now.

My assumption is the sale was based on either time or volume sold, whichever was reached first. They will more than likely compete with prices again tomorrow or Monday, but Amazon stole a ton of business from locals today... Which is great for my pocket but bad for local businesses :(

I even paid an extra $20 for my case on Amazon vs CC due to free shipping vs $10+ shipping cost on CC and the ease of having everything arrive at once. The loss of possible GM on the processors sales is made up by scenarios like this, so all in all it was a smart move. I'm just pumped for everything to get here!

Be wary of the gigabyte windforce 2060. I bought the 1070 edition and had to return it due to fan bearing noise. There are a lot of complaints about the design, do some research on the reviews before you pull the trigger. I ended up going with a evga for $50 more but haven't had any issues a year later.

Deal ended early this morning. It only last like 12 hours. I purchased one last night. Hopefully, it's back tomorrow.

Was looking at this mobo myself. Only concern is that it'll require a BIOS update for the 3600x. Any idea how difficult it is to update the BIOS without an older CPU?
Also noticed that it doesn't support 3600 MHz RAM.
lhsonic wrote: If RGB is not important, there's some 3600 CL16 Ripjaws going for $89.
Noticed the shipping for this RAM went from 5.99 or 6.99 to 15.99, as it's now being shipped from the US.
