[Canada Computers] [Canada Computers] Intel i5 11600k for $199.99

Seems to be a good deal on this CPU. It's 200+ every where else. Yes, its a couple of generations old, but it's better than what's available on the used market for similar CPUs atm. I picked it up for my Plex server and it'll serve it's purpose just fine.

There's plenty of stock online (+ free shipping) and instore (excluding BC and NS).

For the same price you're better off with a 5600X, cooler included and that Uncharted game bundle.

I'd be tempted to upgrade my 11400 if it was the 11700K Smiling Face With Open Mouth And Smiling Eyes.

Decent price if you have a LG1200 socket.

I have 11400 11600k 11700. Non Ks works great with unlimited turbo like K counterpart. However, 11600k can't OC higher the 5.0ghz without rendering errors.

Bit late to the party but the sale is still on and was thinking of getting this for Plex server as well. You guys have any recommendations for motherboard? Looking for something preferably for my diy NAS (e.g more sata ports, etc)

Honestly, any LGA 1200 will do. How many drives are you looking to run? If it’s more than 6, I’d recommend a HBA card in IT mode - like an LSI 9207-8i. You can find them on eBay for $30–ish bucks, but could take a few weeks to arrive. I just deployed this CPU and that exact HBA, feel free to dm me.

I picked this up for my dad along with a cheap Z590 mobo from ME around Boxing Day. Once I get around to building the PC, he'll be able to watch his streaming crap with ease, mining spyware be damned! On a side note, it's sad that the decent value propositions for CPUs with iGPUs seem to be around the $200 mark now.
