The one that ignores the price that of the i5 in favour of the AMD? While I appreciate trying to guide the folks towards a better value, but it derails this thread. People should already have the knowledge of what they are wanting by the time they get to specific model numbers.

It’s does fine for now in many games. But 4 cores is not going to continue to work well for modern games and workloads coming out that will expect 6-8 cores. There is a large shift happening moving the baseline down, and 4cores is now low end.

Personally I am slowly switching out all 4c stuff for 6/8/12 core parts as the time of the 4c is nearly over.

Your 4670k will be quite slow for gaming in even 2 more yrs, at 5yrs from now it will be worth nearly nothing.
I think your 4770k is probably fine for another 3-5 years, if you only game at 4k 60fps. But 4690k has already started to show its age as there are too many circumstances it can not keep the game running at minimum 60 FPS.

That post was too biased. It totally depends on what you want your CPU for. If your only purpose of upgrading your CPU is gaming, then yes this is a very good deal. If you upgrade for a lot of other reasons, such as streaming or improve work related efficiency, then go for AMD.

I want to grab a regular 9900 (65w) to keep the temps low. Not sure if I should wait for BlackFriday or be my impulsive self and get it right now!
