[Canada Computers] DEEPCOOL Gammaxx 400 V2 RED CPU Cooler - $19.99 In Store only limited supply

This CPU cooler is compatible with a number of Intel/AMD sockets. These are in store pickup only and very limited supply. Seems these are only 1 per store in ON and only 1 in BC stores. About as cheap as I've seen, $35 on Amazon.

"In Store only limited supply" no kidding

Most stores seem to have an average of 0-1 in stock. This would be a deal if they were available

Picked it up today and will be using it with a Ryzen 3600 which I bought as part of the RTX 3060 bundle. For $20 I expect it to be a good deal quieter and more efficient than the stock heatsink/fan.

Hardly the case. You can see availability online. A couple of RFD'ers have already picked up so it's a valid deal, just very limited availability. Maybe they're clearing red version out. The blue version isn't the same price for some reason. Are these hard to get into stock..both are in low numbers at CC stores.

Yeah, though everything has gone up. The CM 212 was around this price all the time with promos and MIRs too, now it's a $40+ cooler which is BS

This cooler is $34.99 on Amazon now. Legit or not seems many things have increased in price due to Pandemic, supply chain shortages, etc.

Well, in this particular instance I noticed the price creep even before the pandemic.

My take is that once a product gets popular and well reviewed, the companies take notice and try to milk it. I recall with the 212 they tried to cheap out on some parts like mounting brackets etc for a while too. It's a business after all.

No the mount is the same both are screw down... this is the 400S not 400 v1. The difference is the fan not just the color.

The 400S has a fixed speed 1300 rpm fan pushing 50.8 CFM
The 400v2 has a PWM fan 500-1650 rpm pushing max 64.5 CFM.

The fan noise on the 400S is quieter at 14.6 db vs 27.8 db (max).

You're right my bad. Thought poster was referring to the original as 400 v1.
