[Canada Computers] EVGA Black GTX 1080 TI 859.99$

Few of them are at the lowest I have seen this year. Perhaps at black friday they will be lower? at 859$ the black is a decent deal. I have been checking out the price from the last 6 month.

Those that downvoted that he price isn't good, where do we get a better price right now?

Yea, I'm curious too. I know Staples had the mini 1080 Ti (Zotac?) for around $800, but if I remember right that one is cheaper for a reason.

Early benches put the 2080 at about 5% higher performance than the 1080ti

I dont recall the 980 ti going down much at all when the 1080 ti came out. This may be as good as we get.

Forget about the FPS increase, the 10xx series will NEVER have ray tracing...

The used market may be the best option, this price is laughable as a 'deal' post-20XX announcement.

I haven't vote on this...but I'll answer. Just because a price is the lowest at this point in time, it doesn't necessarily means it's a good deal or sane pricing.

This is the big issue. If you check amazon/neweegg reviews of certain cards, everyone and their dog says stuff like "lyke omg. getting 92892 MH/s." Check kijiji for these cards and many say "Never mined!!! got 10 left to sell"

real-time ray tracing

Every GPU is capable of ray tracing. You'll just end up running the game at 5 fps with ray trace enabled without a RTX card.

i have a 1080ti and I cant imagine needing more power right now regardless of what 2080ti offers.
this is a great price if you need a car NOW.. if you don't then sit on it to see the prices drop. with a 1080ti I highly recommend a 3 fan design card because a better cooler=happy clocks.

There's no reason the 10 series can't do ray tracing. It isn't some new technology. It has been doable in games for a long time now. I remember playing a ray traced port of quake like 10 years ago.

It is just too power consuming for Devs to bother. But you can enjoy paying $1300 to get probably 20fps in tomb raider at 4k
