[Canada Computers] GIGABYTE Gaming Laptop, Ryzen 7 5800H, RTX3060, 16GB, 1TB Gen3 SSD, $1099.00

My first post so don't go hard on me.
Found this deal while checking for the previous deal with Intel core i5 CPU and 512GB ssd. This seems like a better deal with Ryzen 7 and 1TB.
Also, power to GPU is up to 130W, which is solid compared to others who throttle it down to 90W.

Edit: $50 Coupon expired
Edit: Price is down to $1099.00

Any comments / thoughts on how this would handle VR?

This is hot AF with the 3060. Not a fan of gaming laptops in general but I would seriously reconsider if I were in the market.

How does this compare to the g5 with the i5-11400h? Is it worth buying the 3 year extended warranty?

Thanks OP, I was looking for a second gaming laptop. I am currently using a Asus ROG Zephyrus G15 Ryzen 4800HS with a RTX 2060.

Not really hot AF, but it's a good deal.

Agreed - this is a good deal for anyone that wants a really solid gaming pc right now, but this is pretty meh in comparison to the Gigabyte Aorus 15p that was on sale for 1279 at ME back in April

Edit: sorry for the confusion, my mistake - my post gave the impression that this was an active deal. Edited for clarity

He is most likely talking about a laptop that was on sale in April. He made it sound like it is on sale right now.

I think comparing any every computer deal to that deal will just make you disappointed
Don't ask "Is this a good deal?" when creating a thread. That goes in shopping discussion. Please post the price in title. Giving upvotes is free and yes, it is imaginary points that mean nothing but it also makes their effort feel appreciated

I believe it started during the GPU shortage in an attempt to limit accounts to one per person.
