I don't know if this should be posted on RFD without a disclaimer.

You're essentially a beta tester for Intel if you buy this.

Alot of stuff don't work and updates are pushed regularly (which the auto-updater may or may not catch)

expect extreme jank

Its positioned as an RTX 3060 equivalent. With some sales on the 3060Ti I am not sure how good of a competitor it will be...

I picked up an a380 for AV1 hw transcoding but this is probably a better option if you plan on using it for other things as well

So where does the 770 arc fit into the current gpu market?
Does that video from hardware guy above talk about the major updates to this or to the 770?
I would rather have 16gb card to be honest rather this one.

AV1 Transcoding? Pretty much.

Gaming? I haven't tried, it's paired with a 7700k so it doesn't have resizable bar anyway

LTT has done a decent job of changing my mind from “Intel making GPUs is a joke” to considering one as a secondary card.

Mostly though I think people should buy them so that NVIDIA and AMD stop acting like a monopoly

I was under the impression that the A770 was a 3070 alternative. I havent checked out the video yet, but if they made driver improvements its typically stuff that applies to the entire architecture, so all Arc cards would see improvement. (unless they are fixing a flaw with a specific model)

Link in post #10. Spend 2 seconds looking st the video and you'll know what GPU is being discussed. If you want 16GB, buy the 16GB GPU.
