Canada Computers search function is useless

I can't even search for a bluetooth dongle to buy. It gives me junk results (not a single bluetooth dongle). Only reason I am looking in the first place is because they took over the NCIX location which is convenient for me. This extends to other computer stores like Mike's. The search result at Mike's give me no name brands that are more expensive than Amazon. Why would I shop anywhere else other than Amazon at this point especially I get it by Monday with Prime?

After looking through their categories once, I couldn't find the adapter page. Here are exactly what I searched for. The results were junk with or without the adapter category selected, which is also my point: their search engine is beyond bad. Their Asus BT400 is also more expensive when it's "on sale." Thanks for the link though, because Amazon didn't show the MIR.

The search is very stupid because I think they search for bluetooth OR adapter.

When you search bluetooth, it's 1930 hits.
When you search adapter, it's 3000+ hits
When you search bluetooth adapter, it's 3000+ hits.

So when you have an item that's called "Everki Track Laptop Messenger" with a description that says "a large general purpose zippered compartment that serves well to carry your laptop power adapter", it will appear as a search result when you searh "bluetooth adapter".

So useless.

Like with Google and other search engines, try encapsulating search terms in quotes to search the exact phrase as opposed to keywords.

It's better, but it won't get a hit for items like
http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_ ... _id=073789
when the name is "Kensington Bluetooth® 4.0 USB Adapter" when there are words in between.

It's still terrible.

I find that the searches on many of these merchant websites are totally useless
It must ber pretty hard to create a useful search engine within a website

When I have problems with search on a website I use google to search through that website.

For Canada Computers the search would be
site:canadacomputers.com item

There is ONE space after Canadacomputers.com and then type in your search terms where I show "item" in the above example

Always use google :)

Like krs said, use that site filter. I use it for a lot of shopping sites that have bad search engines. If site filter doesn't work, just type "item name canada computers"
