The XPG 1TB GAMMIX S70 Blade is 149$ on Amazon, identical performance to the SN850.

It's a bit controversial though since ADATA was caught putting inferior components in their SSDs. But for the purpose of putting it in a PS5, I think it's well worth the 25% less than the SN850. IMHO.

Did you install a better heat sink or use the original thin aluminum sheet it came with? I have two of these, one in my main desktop PC and one in my PS5. The PS5 has an aftermarket heat sink installed and the drive in my PC is underneath the OEM heat sink in my X570S Tomahawk. Both have been serving me well for almost 4 months.

I am not a heavy user. shut down the company as normaly, But when I power on my computer today, S70 could not detected(no bootable drive). replacse with old m.2 SSD. working perfect. So the issue is not my motherboard.
Intsalled the S70 in another computer, still can not detected.
Did a little bit research, looks like I am not the only case.
Also XPG's website is sooooooooooo hard to use, I tried regester my S70, but always give me the messaghe:"Registration failed". I am sure the have the correct the SN.

I've heard that the chips can get very hot on the drives based on the research I saw when I was in the market for mine. Could be what is killing a lot of them out there, which was why I invested in an appropriate cooler as well. Sucks that it happened to you :(

Spend some more money and get something that will last, why waste your time with something other than Wd or Samsung.

I figure you're buying for the heatsink.
Otherwise why not go for the Samsung 980 at $139.99 (atm)

Looks like the code for both Canada computers and newegg doesn’t work anymore. Anyone have luck ordering with the codes today?
