last time in Abbotsford, they had to close early because:

1. People were taking pictures inside even though the staff/security strictly told them no photos.
2. disrespecting the staff because they want to use their phone.
3. security guy asked them to leave but they refused.
4. Police were called.
5. Security told everyone in line that they are closing early today because of that. Everyone was kicked out.

A few hours later, there was a post on RedBook (WeChat and Douyin combined). That person who got kicked out posted his/her side of the story. Saying it is their right to use their phone, accused them of stealing, rude customer service, racist staff, and security people. (can't find that post anymore)

Many comments said the staff/security guards are racist towards Chinese and don't want to sell anything to them. Someone in the comment said to send a complaint email to Style Democracy. They also received a somewhat apology email from the founder of StyleDemocracy (Michael Berg). 1st no room for racism. 2nd will terminate any racist staff. 3rd will hold special training with their team members. Some even suggested suing the company for abusing their rights by not letting them use their phone.

Style Democracy strictly said if you use your phone inside, they will kick you out immediately. No Checking the time. No calling for 1 second. I think many people used their phones inside (lots of pictures on Wechat/Redbook) so they had to kick everyone out.

I don't think they can say no black allowed, or someone die from heart attack and prove it's the cellphone thing causing delay then cg is liable.
To me it's just a douge idea create sense of secrecy/priority in order to sell shitt that otherwise impossible.

If someone has a heart attack they aren't going to stop you from calling 911.....

They have every right to say no cell phone use on private property, there are concerts that have that rule now.
If you need to take a call, go outside lol
If it's an actual emergency they aren't going to grab your phone

Kinda disgusting how entitled people are these days. You're getting a Canada Goose parka for 65% off. Wait orderly in line and follow the rules of the venue. Not difficult to understand.
How would there be room for racism? You are the first to pick an article of clothing, you can buy it. It's so simple. Where does race factor in anywhere on that?
If staff treated this person poorly it was because he/she was being a shit customer.
Seriously, people think that throwing a tantrum is the answer to everything these days.

Just came back from it

All the colours were not good (almost no black, a lot of red, blues, camos white), lots of shells, light jackets (a lot of hybridge)

I found a single black size M Chateau Jacket (no fur) for $500, quickly grabbed it as it was the only gem I found after the 1hr shopping limit.

I suggest taking a look, there are some good buys especially if your size S and XL in mens (which I’m not)

There was a 1 hour shopping limit? Was the pricing the same as in Vancouver? And did they have pouches to put your phone in?

Yes I arrived at 3:30PM for my time slot (5-8) but they made us line up and only let us in at 5PM. They sectioned us off into two groups of 200 (total 400) based on your place in line. Each group received 1 hour of shopping, when we checked out and left they we saw the second group lining up to enter.

It didn't look like they restocked anything for the second group, probably only restock during each day or during each major time slot.

Yea after you check in (show them the email), they put your phone in your pouch and you carry that pouch with you around. It wasn't as hectic as I thought but people were definitely buying for fomo. It was $550 for parka's w/ fur, $500 without, $250 small jackets, $225 for vests, $150/200 for shells, $100 for sweaters/shoes, $50 for accessories (iirc). No one touched the shoes or accessories.

Appreciate the info! Looks like they may have dropped pricing a bit compared to Vancouver. I wonder if they’ll have lower prices tomorrow since it’s the last day!
