A big thanks to the OP saved me about $180 shipping stuff to my kid in Ft McMurray
Ugh but your poor kid will be:

- Waiting forever for it to arrive in town - probably 2 weeks

- Have to wait over an hour at Shoppers Drug Mart to pick it up

To say Canada Post has issues in Fort Mac is a severe understatement.

My friend wants to sign up for the deal and asked me if it has to be a business account to qualify for the deal. During sign up, it has a question if the account is for business or not. I have no idea, can anyone share experience? TIA

Should not be 2 weeks if he used XPresspost.

Both Expedited and Xpresspost are free on this deal, so I've sent all mine with the faster one (XP). It's next day guaranteed to major cities, 2 days more smaller towns.

Sent him a package the 2 Tuesdays quite easily.Arrived at a Shoppers Postal outlet on Thursday or Friday and he walks in and picks it up.Can't complain never had a problem and besides it's FREE! These packages averaged about $60 per box so I was happy with this. So was he.

I have personally waited 90 minutes to just "walk it in and pick it up" at Shoppers in Fort Mac :(. 20+ people in line (and only 1 clerk, ever) takes forever...

It might be better now with the weak economy - less people ordering stuff, but my god it was bad when I lived there last in 2014.

Don't get me wrong - I don't blame you for taking advantage of the free shipping.

PS Xpresspost was usually 3 to 4 business days for Toronto to McMurray. They rarely met the on time guarantee. I was thinking 2 weeks for Expedited Parcel, you're right.

I keep trying to create a Small Business account for this to work, and when I get to the page "Create Canada Post Profile", and then I fill out the form, I get this error:
An error occurred while handling the request. Please try again or contact the support line. Detail: E019 [JSV0002] Invalid object: the property 'email' is missing.
Any ideas? Or possible has anyone encountered something similar?
