I lost $400 worth of items in one of the free shipments last year as one package went missing.
There was a free $100 insurance so I recovered some of my losses, but
make sure to purchase an insurance if you're sending something expensive!

So then maybe we can get insurance refunds? Last time my package was late they refunded me the would be cost of the shipment, even though I used the offer.

Edit: I see the FAQ this year says they won't refund anything for late deliveries.

Thanks for the heads up, OP. The 5KG limit is new, isn't it?

funny thing is i shipped a 25kg package using this promo last year all the way from Ontario to b.c and it still let me do it and didn't charge anything extra.

I'm pretty sure all of my parcels were over 5kg last year, most in the 15-25lb range.
