The last two labels I maxed out after reading the thread summary and shipped fine...but during the first 2 weeks of the promo since I filled out the package weight as 5kg with box having dimensions of 54x32x30 the VE weight on the label prints showing 10.37kg ... so my question now is can I ship up to the 10.37kg? or am restricted to the 5kg weight I had entered on the site when creating the label?

cheers

You should respect the limit.
When you gske the box to the canadapost office even if you stick thenlabel they check the weight and the measurements.
I had my label refused.in the past due to defective home balance

Anyone know if you can print the label at a Canada Post outlet with the QR code, past the 5 days??

I saved a PDF, but sent me friend the QR instead of printing it out on their own as they don’t have a printer.

I don't think you got what they meant.

If you input the package at 5 kg, that would be the max weight allowed for the label.
The 10.37kg volumetric weight is some calculated number based on the dimensions of the item.
I've never understood why they give it a weight value, but that doesn't somehow allow you to ship a higher weight than what you paid for.

The thing is .... you're paying for the highest of actual weight and volumetric weight . So, yes, you are paying for it.

A shoe box full of rocks that weights 10.37kg and an empty big box of 10.37kg volumetric weight costs the same to send.

Yes. The email subject for me was "Shipping label / Étiquette d'expédition." The QR code was right under the Shipment Details and beside the address where the shipment is going to. It should be above Order Details.
