It looks like freedom mobile is being taken seriously. This is the first attempt by a big 3 brand to emulate freedom plans that work both in Canada and the US. If course, pricing for the plan can be reduced with referral, loyalty, community, auto pay rewards. As always, please do not discuss referral rewards in the thread.

The 3g speed service can actually be relatively fast if some phone settings are changed. Also, 3Mbps speeds are available while connected to the LTE network which has a very long ping time in most places.

It doesn't take at least 3 days for a reply. There have been times that it has taken that long or even longer, but I've received replies from moderators on some occasions within 15 minutes.

I would mention that while in the US the 2 GB does not come out of the 8.5 of the other portion of the plan

I wonder if I had kept my original wind mobile plan that gave me US LTE data if it would have been grandfathered in.

Was a great plan at the time, too bad Wind was garbage.

Nice to see we are finally get some movement in cross border plans but 3g data I'm Canada and 2g in the US is a joke imo.

Edit: nevermind, read it wrong. 2 gigs of data, not 2g data. Still, 3g in Canada. Booo to that.

Public Mobile does not restrict any of its customers to only the 3g network for data. All Public Mobile customers have access to LTE and HSPA networks. I can't think of anything that a customer would normally do on a mobile device that requires faster than the speeds that you can get on these so-called 3g plans. With that said, connections to the LTE network are limited to 3Mbps data speeds.
