PCOC Online Boat Course, Test & Licence ONLY $20 Tax In!- HOT

Deal Link:
Retailer:
CanadaBoatSafety.com
For a limited time, use coupon code "julylaunch21" to get the Official Transport Canada Approved Boating Safety Course, Test & License (Pleasure Craft Operator Card). Unlimited test retries included & PCOC is good for life, for only $20 tax in. Regular price is $42, but this is a $22 off coupon code I saw posted on another boating site, and it works.

What to do: Register on right side of screen, and you get to take the first chapter for free before having to pay. Once you get through it, you will be prompted to pay to proceed. Enter in field, promo code "julylaunch21" for $22 off. Total due will be $20, tax in. This coupon code expires July 31st, 2021, so you need to make the payment before that date.

Good deal OP, thanks. For those that might not be able to use this before July 31, there is also https://www.freecourse.ca/ which is also a Canadian company and they charge $20.95 + tax. (their regular price). I did their course a few weeks back and aced the test!
Basil: Well, may I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? The Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically -?

the key is that the PCOC (boating license) is good for life! If....nay WHEN you get that motorboat, you will be good to go

You might be tempted to RENT a motor boat one day when you are on vacation with the family. Now you can.

Had the same thought exactly.
Took mine a couple weeks ago and passed it.
I think you just need to renew it every few years.

How long is a Pleasure Craft Operator Card good for?

Once you get your PCOC it is good for life. There are no renewal fees or expiry dates and it is not graduated by age.

From the FAQ section.

Is there a mandatory waiting period to pass the course? I read quickly but some of these courses require you to sit there without the ability to skip chapters

Each reading page has a timer before you're able to skip it. It is around a minute and a half though. At the end of each chapter is the test questionnaire.

This is a good deal. I haven't seen this pricing for a PCOC for quite a while. Thanks OP.

was getting annoyed waiting for the timer so peeked around a little.

if you open up the dev tools of your browser where you can type into the console:

Code: Select all

document.myForm.RequiredTime.value = 1;

will basically set the timer to 1 so you can skip to next section

I wonder how many people buy this thinking they will do it, leave it on the back burner and never complete.

And yes I am one of those and can't even recall which site it was lol.

My friend said that if the boat is under a certain size, you don't need a license, is this true?

All motorized boats and PWCs in Quebec powered by 10 horsepower or more are required to have a Pleasure Craft License.

Probably applies to rest of Canada too.

Don't rental places give a temporarily license anyway?

Never step foot in a boat, but now I have a license to drive one.

Next on of the list of licenses I'll probably never use is fishing and hunting.

Counting on RFD to post deals.
