wut? that can't be right... i would assume it was only loaded with $50 from the beginning.
Well.. it could be.. I know that a lot of promotions lose their promotional value but keep the paid value. Maybe I should go to CT and complain.

you can check the history of the transactions.

When you are talking about an $80 value...for $50...this doesnt ring a bell for promotion wise.

Can you add a random amount to choose your own amount gc? Eg $52.78?

You know.. I think you are right.. They are 2 $25 cards (I still have them) for which I paid $40. That's the 20% discount.

Went to Ct Queensway and got the generic blank card that you can load from $20-500.

Cashier was clueless. Just tell them to put it through and enter the desired amount to be loaded. The discount will be automatically applied on the POS

Local CT was a gongshow at 9:00AM today when I walked in. Lineup went wall to wall and I walked out of there immediately, not worth the 20%.

GAP gift cards for everyone this year!
In and out of CT store this morning in 7 minutes.
Christmas shopping is done in one fell swoop, and thanks to the 20% off these gift cards, I saved $170.
I’m happy! More beer money! :)

I think no CT money on GCs as well.

Also, you can't pay Gap GCs with CT gift cards.

Bay and Dundas had stacks of the "variable" amount GCs in plastic bins at the registers. Just pick how much you want to load and the cashier applies the 20% off. I bought $200 (for $160) this afternoon and just used it at couple of times at the mall (no need to wait 24hrs for activation).

First, thanks OP.

Note that all the cards are the same GAP, BABY GAP, OLD NAVY, BANANA REPUBLIC, when it comes to discount and use. Take whatever they've got!

Lastly, are the 25$ prepaids activated immediately in checkout at cash register or do we have to do anything??? All cashier did was scan for purchase.

It says it may also take 24 hours to be activated on back of card. I was hoping to use tonight and tomorrow.
