good deal!
Funny math.
When you get store credit (not cash) back it's not 24%/20%. It's more like 20%/17%.

Against what logic? You are paying $500 cash for $620 worth of CT junk. That's not even 20% off. Sure it's 24% 'points back'. But I'm just saying it's different from 'cash back' and is surely not '24% off sale' that people typically Think of. Not pointing anything out. I'm just saying.

I am planning to buy some tools at CT, but I don’t have CT credit card. So sad!

Not sure if this is still applicable, but when you apply for their credit card in store they used to give an additional 12% cashback on your first purchase!

I remember the good old days when most stores gave 3% back in Canadian Tire money, and some (I think) were as high as 5%.

IIRC, about 25 years ago the rate was 5% back in CT money whenever you paid by something other than credit card. So when buying $100 with cash, you would get $5 in CT money, which you could use to buy another $5 in merchandise getting you another $0.25 in CT money and so on.

In math terms, it was a convergent series
0.05 + 0.05² + 0.05³ + ...

I believe the best deal would be the DYSON V11 Absolute for 749 +bonus CT bonus. Besides the V10 price error recently, this is best price for a V11 this year.

The flyer says before 10a.m., but the front page of at least the mobile website says 1-3p.m. Error or encore?

Interesting. So Dewalt, Dyson and other brand name products that CT sells are junk :).

Some provinces like Quebec restrict opening times on the 26th. If I had to guess 1-3pm for those with that regulation...

Hi everyone. So the 50X and 60X doesn't apply on all products right?
Only selected products right?

For example, if i am buying dyson vaccum tomorrow morning
This one qualify (it has the 50x icon beside the picture)
https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/dyso ... p.html#srp
This one doesn't qualify (it doesn't have the 50x beside the picture)
https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/dyso ... p.html#srp

Correct me if I am wrong, I hope I am wrong...

if I understand it correctly. as long as it's before 10am, you get the standard 10x for using the card. then the 50x with trianlge rewards card or 60x using triangle mastercard regardless.

AFTER 10 am, the 50x multiplier stands (listed in the flyer for the absolute extra model you linked). after 10am, if the flyer has no multiplier you get the standard 10% (like on that absolute stick you linked) .
the t&c's don't specify exclusions.

all I can say is good luck out there, it's going to be a zoo until 10 at least lol..
Saving money on things I don't need since 2009. thanks RFD
