I know they can be had for cheap, but handsaws in this day and age are extremely cumbersome.

Yeah... I still use them when I'm too lazy to set up the mitre/circular saw.

Don't see how they are cumbersome unless you don't know how to use them. If I have one or two cuts to make I can finish with handsaw before you even finish unwinding the extension and plug in the power saw.

That's why you don't know. You probably don't construct anything sophisticated.

I guess its called an aggressive handsaw because it is so short that you have to be really aggressive!

In this day and age of cheap, reasonably good quality power tools, there is still a time and a place for a hand saw.

I have a similar one and it's handy whenever I want to make a quick rough cut, or if I'm working in the garage late @ night and don't want to wake anyone up with my electric saws. Will have to go pick one up. tnx.

Still gotta unpack it when my handsaw is hanging on the shelf. :p

Actually they are dang expensive, wont use it often enough to justify one. For now anyway.

Sometimes a handsaw is useful for things you can't cut with a circular saw or miter saw, like if you need to cut out the birdsmouth on a rafter.

I'm holding out for the passive aggressive handsaw.

Bought this last year, fairly crappy saw, but again, for $3, might as well. Bought it with the $3 hammer as well.

Branch is wet wood - not sure how easy that'll be. You can get a proper bow saw for probably around $20... Yeah yeah, this is $3.
