The furnace filter market is a big mafia Angry Face

These sizes are $10 for 3 units. I have a 18x24x1 furnace and a 12 pack costs me anywhere between $55-$90 + taxes for the same MERV.

I do every 2-3 months with these inexpensive filters. I like these ones to protect the furnace and not try to purify the air.

Every 2 months. Regardless of how dirty the filter is. I get a reminder email at the beginning of the month

You guys should get reusable washable filters, they can be found on Amazon for about $65-$130. Lasts a lifetime and just comes off with water (add soap if you want).

Plenty of others with different MERV ratings on Amazon.

Subjective. I have a Nest thermostat that sends me a notification when to clean my filter based on my usage.

Don’t most furnace need thick and bigger filters than this?

Mine is 20 x 20 x 5.

I don't know about most? Mine takes 5" filters, though, but it seems big box stores all have tons of those little 1" ones so a lot of people must use them.

There is so much talk about lower MERV versus Higher MERV, i cant decide which route to go with like MERV 6 and replace more frequently or MERV 10/11 and replace maybe 3-4 months? I also do notice i start sneezing alot more when i used the lower MERV after a month in...

This is what I'm using in my furnace right now. Bought 5 packs of this back in 2020 for the same price. Still got 9 out of 15 as I change it out every 3 months.

I need a 20"x25"x5" for my furnace.

https://www.furnacefilters.ca/ this place has reseasonable prices for larger filter, but havent had any personal experience with them. IF anyone has or recommend another place to pick up larger filters let me know

Thanks
