worth nothing you probably need a 6+ man tent for this to work well. We tried to get a similar height bed into a 4 man tent and ended up having to pump it up inside the tent, as it didn't fit through the door fully inflated.

Never even occurred to me to pump up a mattress outside the tent.

when using a 12v car pump, you can't always get your car close enough to the tent (we got around this later on by buying an extension cord)

I have owned this product for a few years now. Use it about 5 times a year camping. With 2 people sleeping on it you definitely have to pump it up every night.

I bought one of those battery powered pumps that takes 4 D batteries and it's not a deal breaker. That being said I'd just temper your expectations, I am planning on replacing it next year as the re-inflating is getting a little old.

I paid $25 off marketplace for it. I am not sure I'd pay $70+tax for this thing. As usual with CT, $139.99 original price is laughable.

Would've thought 99% of folks on RFD have the Ryobi or Ridgid 18v inflators by now.

I've been using the Ryobi one and it's amazing when pumping up the bed and deflating. I'm a hero when I bring the inflator since everyone borrows it.

Yep the lil handheld ryobi inflator is great for inflating this mattress inside the tent. no more blowing it up on the roof of the car and smooshing it through the tent door.
This will fit just fine in a 4 person tent, but will take up most of the room.

You should also consider inflatable camping mats instead. So much easier to manage.

Same here. I use this one and it works like a hot dam! 160 MPH!

Was going to say the exact same thing, Air mattress is usually better if you dont have a spare bed for someone staying the night at your house or something. I bought a Woods self inflating sleep mat and it was a game changer. the 3 inch one that i used on my last camping trip was great, not one part of my body was touching the ground.

This is the one https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/wood ... p.html#srp

can any expert campers here comment on why one would consider an airbed in a tent vs. a cheaper and more convenient sleeping bag?

Its very uncomfortable sleeping on the ground in a sleeping bag. Separating yourself from the ground greatly reduces how cold you will be. This is mainly aimed at car campers who can lug in loads of gear. If backcountry camping you can rough it with just sleeping on the ground but most people use some sort of topper albeit just very thin compared to an air mattress.

I have used this exact model this past weekend and can confirm it is very comfortable. Actually bought it during this sale as well. Did not leak air as the other poster mentioned. Didn't need to pump it up again in between the 2 nights we stayed.

thanks for the input.
from personal experiences, i try to avoid air mattresses because they imminently break and leak, if not next month, in a few months.
