it's been this price for a while now. Picked up a bag 2-3 weeks ago. Grows very fast. Leveraged all the rain we got over the past few weeks. And watered it twice. Grew really well.
But not sure if it'll come back next season.

i bought this a few weeks ago at this price, but didn't realize the bags were so small. you need a min. of 4 or 5 of these to cover a small yard.

Base on the reviews where people complain it only lasts for a season I suspect there could be quite a bit annual ryegrass in the mix

Might be weeds in your future. Just stick with Scotts. You get what you pay for.

Not sure how you tell if 50% didn't come back unless your grass was completely dead before putting this on :P

But like someone mentioned above its probably annual ryegrass. Cheap.

Get something with perennial ryegrass and kentucky blue grass

Do any seeding soon. The spring window is just about closed. Will need to wait until fall otherwise.

  1. Pull out what weeds you can
  2. Dethatch and try to loosen top layer of soil at the same time
  3. If you can't loosen much soil, top dress
  4. Seed
  5. Water
  6. Buy PAR 3 from ebay

Par3, are you talking about weed killer ? Does it still contain 24D ?

Yours is better than mine, at least there are some green. I have worked really hard to get my lawn to the standard, it just wouldn't budge. Seeing all weeds and dying grass, I put new sod three years ago. Since then, I have manually pulled out all the weeds, fertilize twice a year, top seeding, top soil, you name it. But the grass simply would not grow and half my lawn are going brownish.

The thing is that some of my neighbors don't do anything, and the nearby park without much care, but their grass is all thick and happy.

Honestly, I am wondering if I should go with the artificial SOD Crying Face
