Very bad quality please don't get this.

Would not buy something as important as floor jack from crappytire. They are a shitty merchant and I would avoid them at all possible cost unless it's like a life and death situation with Zero alternatives.
Plus this is a shitty jack and heavy as hell.

I bought this jack from TSC “Peavy Mart” for $129.99, works great! Yes it is very heavy.

BS, I've had many tools from crappy tire over 2 decades, including a 15 year old 1.5 ton aluminum jack and a 10 year old 3 ton aluminum jack from Mastercraft. I use them many times a year including winter swaps for family and track tire swaps for racing and track days.

Only problem with this jack is that it's heavy compared to an aluminum one, but it's significantly less in price.

Same goes for other tools bought on their "sales", decent value for most users. Sure, not as good as a pricey SnapOn, but that's overkill and a waste of money for most.

I am not sure negative votes are for which one the following :
1) it is heavy?
2) Seller is not good
3) the product is not good (and failed) and it is not functioning as it is described?
4) Price is not good?
5) all the above?

These negative votes make no sense. It's a good jack. Don't know what to tell people. Seems like an auto downvote because of CT? Read the reviews.

Big Red = Torin.

Maybe downvoted because people don’t realize this and they think it’s the Canadian tire brand.

Great jack. I’d buy but I recently got the Arcan one from Costco for 149

The cad tire one is steel and 80lb. Costco is aluminum and steel and 50lb

+1 I have 4 jacks from CT: 2 before Costco carried jacks; 1 before I got a membership; 1 because Costco doesn't offer a jack with the same specs.

All still going strong.

This post doesn't deserve so many downvotes. The price is warm, not great, not terrible, so if you need a jack this could be relevant. The Torin from Costco might be better, for example, if it includes the 6" SUV adapter.

The most important factor is to know if the lift range (5-11/16 - 19-11/16" (14.5 - 50 cm)) works for your needs. And the fact that it's a floor jack and not a crappy trolley jack.

Do people realize Canadian Tire doesn't manufacture jacks? Big Red is just a sub-brand of Torin.

As for the weight, you do realize the wheel has been invented, right?

Indeed, this isn't even a Motomaster jack, it's a Torin. But even if it were Motomaster, these things are all made in the same places in China anyhow.

Interesting note on the 1.5 ton alum. I think we have the same jack? lol. Also a Torin, bought about that long ago (only at Walmart) and still a great jack which I still use today, whenever I'm not using QJ or need to additionally support something like engine or control arm or something.

For people complaining about the weight, well yeah that's why it's called a floor jack and not a "carry around with you" jack, lol. If it's a 3.5 ton and all steel, what were you thinking it was going to be if not "damn heavy"? If you want lighter you'll need to buy an alum jack or an alum/steel combination jack.

Also I'll add the same obligatory, "yeah jacks certainly have gone up in price...like everything else" line :|

Both of mine are Motomaster, but most jacks look nearly identical so they're probably made in the same place.
I think I paid like $80 for the 1.5ton jack. I love using it because it's so light (feels like 30-40lbs?). That makes it easy to put in the trunk and bring to track days.
The 3 ton (maybe 3.5?) aluminum jack is much heavier, probably 55-70lbs?, but still able to pick up if needed. Not that matters since it only rolls around the garage. I think I paid $100-130 for that one.
