Yeah, that's weird with the reviews!
Makes me wonder if they are legit.

Any one have a Bissell and can comment on how well it works.
The price is certainly right.
This comparison with the Roomba is quite interesting:

Does every Canadian Tire set their own prices when it comes to clearance items?
Mine shows $199 for the Bissell and $249 for the Hoover.
The Bissell seems to be the better one as long as you get the 1974 model.

Neither the Bissell nor the Quest 800 has a HEPA filter - I wonder if that is why they are getting rid of them.

Ahhh,

Trouble is that this is a different model number.
So the reviews may or may not be valid.

Returning it at CTC is a problem if it doesn't suit me.

Can anyone who has used one of these robot vacuums comment on who effective they are? I haven't pulled the trigger on one of these yet only because i'm a bit skeptical it can can cover every corner.

We had a roomba and loved it until the side arm broke and could not be repaired (efunded on credit card extended warranty). Then we bought this vacuum from Canadian Tire.

First day we used it, it took a ride down the stairs. It was a hassle to clean, and died after the year warranty was up. We emailed Bissell to get a letter saying it could not be fixed so we could claim it. They were awesome. They let us chose a new vacuum (canister) and sent us a bunch of filters etc. So in the end, I would spend the extra and go for the Roomba.

Did you buy from gear best?

My Roomba 980 got stuck under a coffee table with a low clearance twice in a row. First time it happened since five weeks ago.

That's after cleaning 52 sq m so maybe it is getting lazy not wanting to return to the charging station.

Got from geekbuying. Looks like the roomba isn't really a highly rated product for its price.

Oh wells. Hope the xiaomi is good!

Canadian tire changed its return policy recently didn't they? "Product does not work for us" is no longer a good enough excuse (depends on the customer service person, I guess)

Don't worry about it, you chose a great vac.

Got mine last week (2 days to ship from HK.. incredible.. bought from the Ali link in the RFD thread)

Its been run a few times, no hiccups whatsoever and infinitely smarter than my old Neato XV. The app calculates my main floor at ~81m^2 and it finishes with 72% battery left.. Does a great job picking up the dogs hair

That being said, this Bissel looks incredible for the price....maybe for the second floor.......

I'm tempted to get the Xiaomi too but shipping to Canada is awful. To the US, it's only 16 cents lol and Americans get that $800 de minimis.
