If you don't absolutely need the size of an 8-qt pot, the 6qt Duo is better.Canada_7 wrote: ↑ Is the Instant Pot 6 quart Duo at $60 a good deal? I did a quick search of the forums and found DuoPlus was around $65 last month. The past week, the 8 quart Lux was $60 at Walmart, which I got, but to be honest I'm kinda leaning more towards the 6 quart. I don't need all the extra stuff of the Ultra model unless it's at a comparable price. Wondering if I should keep the 8 quart Lux or get this 6 quart Duo.
Here are a few things that make a Duo more favorable to me:
- it has yogurt function, useful for homemade yogurt, and I can also proof dough with this function
- it has a cutout on the side to hold the lid standing up
- it has low pressure option, might be useful to some
I have an Ultra and a Lux, both are 6qts. However, the Lux is larger and takes a little more space.
