[Canadian Tire] Canadian Tire Maximum Torque Wrench 1/2 Drive, $69.99

This is a decent 1/2 drive click type torque wrench for 69.99

It has a knurled aluminum handle rather than a plastic one. The markings are engraved rather than etched or printed. It has a full 24 inch length so you get maximum leverage.

I know you can buy a $20 Princess Auto special to do the same job that would suit many people, but this CT one is a lot better quality and weighs a decent amount.

I bought it to replace a Snap On split beam flex head torque wrench, which I prefer, but broke at the head. No warranty on it. Not going to spend $400 on another.

Price in title please. Mentioning the brand, Maximum, might help too.

MAXIMUM 1/2-in Drive Torque Wrench & 24-in Breaker Bar Combo Pack
I got this combo during the last sale in April, used it to do tire swap on both of my cars. Both torque wrench and breaker bar worked great.
U did not need impact gun?

impact gun is not a must if you are strong enough.... however, torque wrench is a must.

breaker bar to loosen up the nuts and torque wrench is to tighten it up with certain amount of torque and cannot be over-tighten or too loose.

I bought a cheap 1/4 impact driver using adapters I can’t loosen my 80lbs ft lugs Weary Face driver is rated 150fts lbs too but I'm using too many adapters sockets so it will be much weaker rated

Adapters rob half the power, and if using non impact sockets you lose %40 power also
You need brake bar to crack the nuts loose the. Use impact.

Those Maximum used to be a good deal because they had lifetime warranty. CT changed recently to 1 year.

Not sure if it's worth the "premium" now. And for $70 I'd wait for the combo with breaker bar as mentioned before, or even the kit with sockets (https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/maxi ... 86201.html) which normally goes for $70 on sales.

Their torque wrenches are not lifetime.

Had 2 of these go bad on me. When they offered their lifetime warranty on their older style torque wrench it lasted me years. Seems like quality has gone down

Return that and use the money to buy a breaker bar and a torque wrench.
