Why not just get Lodge. They are only like $30 at Walmart.

Keep in mind the regular price in NO WAY reflects the value. Canadian tire jacks up the regular price on almost everything that goes on sale. I have the Lagostina pan and the quality of the cast iron is just ok at best. There is a noticeable difference in quality from my Lodge pan. These pans are not true flat on the bottom so expect oil to drain off to the edges. All cheap cast iron pans are convex due to poor quality control.

lol at the regular price.

Note, the emblem on the bottom might be an issue if using on induction stoves, won't sit flat. The Lodge has an emblem but it's flush with the bottom

Honestly they're not that bad, however to repeat what the others have said, Amazon sells this exact pan at the same price so this isn't really a sale; if you have the budget, I highly recommend getting some Lodge stuff instead.

it is $29.99, but does not look a good design to me,
since it is only one piece metal and handle get hot easily...
simple is the best...

Buyer beware, a lot of the Canadian Tire inexpensive cast iron pans are domed. Particularly logistina.

What do you mean “domed”?

The middle of the pan is higher than the edges. So if you had some cooking oil it would go to the edges instead of an even coverage of the pan.

Right?! Purchasing anything at CT at full price is almost always a mistake.

With cast iron, who makes the pan, and how well they're made is VERY important. Don't cheap out here. Bad cast iron (like the cheap ones at CT) is not worth the money you'll spend.

I use to think this way but Canadian Tire does have some good non-Canadian tire items that have good prices.

Anything they source themselves is a rip off tho

Any good brands that are worth checking into?

Can't really speak to current standards but I bought a KitchenAid cast iron from CT 9 years ago for $15 and it has held up pretty well. Not the most helpful feedback, I know, but you don't always have to pay a lot to get a decent product.
