You should put Mountain Bike in the title.

I thought it was just the brakes and thought it was very expensive.

This sale price is basically regular price. Canadian tire always has 50% off on most of their bikes.

Seems like a nice price but please remember that 50% off at Canadian tire doesn't always mean that you are getting a great deal. That being said I think that this might be a good price for this bike. Wish it gave more information about the parts of the bike (like the weight).

Buying a cheap full suspension bike of this quality is a waste of $$. The added weight of the suspension components does not outweigh the benefits. Much better off getting a hard tail or save more for a proper full suspension bike.

For a little kid who is either going to outgrow the bike or destroy it then yeah Canadian Tire bikes are probably fine. But for an adult hell no. Quality is bad it'll weigh a ton. You'd be better served spending more on either a GT bike which tend to at least be decent for the price or getting something like a giant talon 3 for $700.

A hard tail is always better at that price point. More bang for the buck.

Or look into the used market - lots of riders upgrade regularly and sell the old bike for a fair price on Kijiji.

yup, I would buy a sale price non-suspension beater from Canadian tire, but not a full suspension. More things to go wrong, heavier, and less efficient pedalling.

Ok question for you bike experts. What is a good value cruiser bike for men. I need comfort for a bad back. I found the Electra Townie 7D pretty good but pricey too.
Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Most bikes that you get at places like CT and Wal-mart are junk. If your expectations are only that it has 2 wheels and go from point A to B, then sure, you'll like it. But as soon as you start looking at bikes that cost a little bit more money or from a proper bike store, you will see these are just cheap. Heck for $100 more, the Northrock bike from Costco will be miles better.
