Except that it's not highly rated (it's Wüsthof's bottom line), and it's cheap anywhere that still has old stock:
CAD$217.34 less 2% eBates: https://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/W ... oduct.html
USD$102 at Amazon.com (but doesn't ship to Canada): https://www.amazon.com/Wusthof-Silverpo ... op?ie=UTF8

And if you're going to spend $220 on knives, why blow it on 14 $15 pieces, when for the same money you can get quality pieces that you actually use?

Set includes:
- peeling knife, 3.5" paring knife, serrated utility knife (you might need one of those occasionally, if you don't use a pinch grip on your Chef's knife)
- 8" carving knife (handy if you do cook and carve a lot of roasts, but too short - might as well use the Chef's knife)
- 7" Santoku, 8" Cooks knife (redundant, unless you have two cooks working at the same time)
- 8" bread knife (nice if you cut a lot of loaves, but really should be longer)
- 4 gourmet steak knives
- 9" honing steel (but the ones in these cheap sets are always soft steel and barely functional)
- kitchen shears (if you actually use scissors to cut food, you really should get a pair that comes apart for proper cleaning)
- and wood block.

this is a terrible set.

if someone is looking for a good basic set the Zwilling 4 star are on sale at Williams Sonoma for $200

http://www.williams-sonoma.com/products ... rc=AutoRel

they're forged

truthfully most 'sets' are a rip off. 3 knives is pretty much anyone should need (chef/bread/paring)
