Any idea how long the cord is?
It says 5-ft cord on the box

There is another 3 ft fixture, 30W, 3000 lumens for $19.99 -$2 rebate. The brightness is almost double of the 4 ft one. I'll think I'll take the 3-ft over the 4-ft.

The web site shows stock for both 4-ft and 3-ft fixtures at my local store in Ottawa. Maybe they are hard to find in Alberta because of the $8 rebate - better deal but no stock? Winking Face

I ended up going with the 3 foot versions, more lumens per $$. I installed them this weekend and they're pretty nice. Of the 4 purchased, I had a bad one that buzzed pretty loud like a florescent light, I returned it.

Both fixtures showed as in stock at my local store (in Alberta) and they didn't have them. Lady said they had been cleaned out a while ago.

If you have some cheap T8 fixtures, the LED T8 tubes at Costco are like $20 for 2200lm (each tube?)

Is this a hardwired one? I'm looking for a pair for my garage and it's nearly impossible to find a hardwired one without it being overpriced.
Just get cheap T8 fixtures, hardwire them, and install T8 replacement bulbs (about $20 for 2 at Costco IIRC).

Thanks so much. I bought this adapter so that I can use my existing light socket without having to rewire anything.

Managed to find two of these strips.

Got 4 of these for the garage, not daisy chainable as mentioned, but I have 2 on either side of the garage end to end, and I'm going to tie the cords together to reduce the ceiling clutter. These are great low profile lights, especially for the price.

Picked up a couple of the 3-ft tonight, the last 2 from people who changed their minds and left them behind. They're very bright for the size. I wish they would come out with the black light version in the future, it would be awesome Smiling Face With Open Mouth And Smiling Eyes

Edit: These 3-ft and 4-ft strip lights are special buy items and don't seem to be regular stock items that I had first thought. They were in the same areas with all of the LED light bulbs with the rebates near the front of my store and NOT with the light fixtures area.

These are simple adapters for converting the light socket to 2-prong outlets, similar to Wizard1's post above but without the pull chain. The other option is to rewire the ceiling box to outlets and use a round outlet cover.
Lamp socket to single outlet adapter $3.79 @ CT, low profile if you are adding just a single plug-in light fixture
Lamp socket to dual outlets adapter $4.99 @ CT

Update: Found out that the adapters are meant for temporary use only. For those familiar with the electrical code, is this allowed for "semi-permanent (you can simply remove the adapters)" use of the strip lights plugged into the garage ceiling light socket?

None in stock at my store. (Alliston) Website says discontinued at my location, so won't be seeing them back in stock either.
